Making Data Driven Theatre

with Clare Duffy

Tuesday 17th May 2022

6pm – 7.30pm

ONLINE

We live in a data driven world, our day to day lives are measured and shaped by the ‘smart’ tech revolution. So, how can theatre join this revolution and perhaps more importantly critique and challenge it?

Clare will talk about why and how she created Civic Digits with Rupert Goodwins, an ex-hacker and acclaimed tech journalist. This session will include discussing how to make new tech to tell stories about tech such as the app, ‘Super Swipe’, which Civic Digits’ made for their first project, The Big Data Show and the ‘Data Driven Actor’, which is their robot made for two new shows, “Many Good Men” and “Bad Actor”.

This session will be relaxed throughout, providing the opportunity for you to ask as many questions as you like.

This online event is FREE TO attend. It will take place via Zoom. Places are LIMITED.
